Enviromental Product Declaration (EPD)

The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a declaration, based on established parameters, containing a quantification of the environmental impacts associated with the product’s life cycle calculated using LCA methodology. 

 The EPDs are independently verified and presented in a clear and comparable form. 

Product EPD: 

• Declaration of a specific product by a specific manufacturer;   

• Declaration of an average output of a product performed in different plants by a specific producer;   

• Declaration of an average product among different products in a specific plant by a specific producer;    

• Declaration of an average product among different products in different plants by a specific producer;  

Sector EPD  

• Declaration on the production of a specific product, as an average of the production performed in different plants, by different producers;   

• Declaration on the production of an average product, as an average of the production of different products performed in different plants, by different producers; 

Adavantages:    

Clear communication of the environmental performance of its product through an Environmental Declaration;  

Improvement of the company’s image within the international market through the adoption of sustainability policies. 

• Producer certifies its interest in environmental issues; 

• The consumer obtains clear and transparent information about the environmental impacts of the product;

•  Analysis of the standards applicable to the product or sector and identification of the field of application;  

• Carrying out the Life Cycle Assessment, in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 14040 series of standards, up to the preparation of the LCA Report;  

• Preparation of the EPD declaration.
